Description:

The Controls Design Engineer responsibilities include design and assembly of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic controls systems using Beckoff or siemens PLC's to control servo motors and VFDs.

Top Skills Details:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• 5-7 years related experience

• Electrical panel layout experience

• PLC and HMI programming experience (Beckhoff or Siemens preferred)

• 2D CAD Experience - Wiring Diagrams

• Knowledge of NFPA 79, CE Machinery Directive

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Project management of the machine (on time, on budget) from inception to delivery while being involved and assisting with troubleshooting of issues

• Design and detail control schematics and BOMs

• Program the PLC and HMI for a given project

• Size and specify servo systems.
