Overview:

Job Title: System Administrator Tier III Location: NSA, Bahrain

Security Clearance: Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable)

Requisition Type:Funded

Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Job Responsibilities:

The System Administrator Tier I II position shall be responsible for maintaining and operating a computer system and/or network.

• Detailed knowledge of deploying information systems, managing, and troubleshooting Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Object (GPOs), and Domain Name Service (DNS).

• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems Windows 2008(R2) and Windows Server 2003.

• Knowledge of system deployment, management, and troubleshooting of messaging protocols and operations with Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 products.

• Knowledge of backup technologies specifically Symantec backup exec and NetApp SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP) manager utilities.

• Proficient with reviewing and deploying vendor updates for security patches.

• Knowledge and familiarity with storage technologies such as Storage Area Network (SAN) or Network Attached Storage (NAS).

• Knowledge and familiarity with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.

• Proficient with server configuration and management tools (Microsoft System Center Operations manager (SCOM) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)).

• Network troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networks.

• Technical documentation skills. Shall have knowledge and familiarity of action plans for planned and unplanned changes to the network infrastructure.

• Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.

• Experience with technical documentation.

• Travel CONUS/OCONUS to support missions up to 10%.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minmum of three (3) years related work experience working with Windows 2003 server and Exchange 2003 systems administration

• A minmum of two (2) years of experience in a military environment

• The following required certifications: Security+, Network+, and one (1) of the following: Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , OR an A ssociates degree plus seven (7) years of recent specialized experience , OR eleven ( 1 1) total years of recent specialized experience.
