PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To lead sustainable financial growth by taking ownership of the financial operations, controls and management information for the Business Unit.

Provide insight and influence to impact performance and maintain competitive advantage alongside financial and contract support leadership and direction in the Business Unit. Act as point of liaison for Finance for the Client and Contract teams.

This will involve personal attitude, use of skills and dissemination of knowledge. Use specialist skills and experience to provide insight and influence in order to impact performance standards. Implement improvements, drive change, raise standards through the direct and indirect management of the team. Act as a business partner to the Business Unit Leader to both advise and challenge senior management on contract performance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE

  • Understand the key financial drivers & accountable to achieve financial targets including Account Contract Management and in close partnership with the Sales, Operations, Projects & Finance Controllership team.

  • Accountable to lead the budgeting/forecasting and flash process, improve forecasting accuracy, drive financial strategic planning & analysis for the Business Unit.

  • Ensure reporting consistency, accuracy and financial integrity.

  • Proactive focus to implement productivity improvement initiatives that grow the profitability.

  • Ensure that Balance Sheet items which includes AR, Liability and accruals are reflected timely and accurately.

  • Drive Accounts Receivable process in accordance with the GWS target operating model minimizing bad-debt risks.

COMMERCIAL FINANCE

  • Develop & maintain in-depth knowledge of commercial contracts/models, margin levers to achieve YoY growth targets. Ensure that commercial contracts are maximized for profitability.

  • Drive visibility, accountability & ownership of financial objectives i.e., revenue and profit targets to business partners.

  • Actively participate in contract review session ensuring financial accountability and driving a commercial lens

  • Accountable to drive insight & action orientated monthly financial business reviews with leadership. Setting out clear expectations of YTD results, commercial drivers, opportunities & risks.

  • Support financial acumen across the function leaders to improve forecast accuracy and ownership of targets.

  • Conducts finance training for non-finance individuals to drive P&L accountability.

  • Drive the financial performance of accounts and manage business overheads in partnership with business leaders.

  • Play role of governance in pricing for client contracts to maximize shareholder returns and optimize return on investments.

FORECASTING & PLANNING

  • Lead planning, budgeting, forecasting and flash process focusing on challenging assumptions, ensuring quality and consistency for the Business Unit.

  • Lead financial review meetings with the Business Unit to identify and investigate risks, issues and opportunities and agree interventions.

  • Creates scorecards and metrics linked with strategic objectives utilizing disruptive technology.

  • Advise Business Unit Leader on decisions pertaining to improving performance, minimizing risk or capturing new opportunities for the Business Unit.

PEOPLE

  • Build relationship and work in partnership with key stakeholders including country controllers, Business Unit Leaders, Facilities Management and Contract Managers

  • Identify current finance development gaps and proactive coaching / team management to bridge these gaps.

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across finance teams, GWS business segments, accounts and CBRE platforms.

  • Lead and train Contract Supports for finance related matters.

  • Support Country Finance Business Partner on any Ad-hoc initiatives.

Work Schedule:

  • Hybrid with Flexible working hours, minimum of twice a week reporting onsite depending on business needs or meetings

  • HV Dela Costa Makati work location

  • Mondays to Fridays, 9AM to 6PM
