SLR International Corporation Staff/Project Engineer Or Scientist in Lakewood, Colorado

SLR International Corporation is currently seeking a Project or Staff Engineer/Scientist with 0-5 years of experience in providing Air Quality-related support to industry to join our growing Denver and U.S. consultancy. The successful candidate will work with a strong team of engineers and scientists to support the oil and gas, mining and minerals, chemical manufacturing, power, and other industrial sector clients, with an emphasis on air quality database systems engineering and reporting. Experience with database systems is preferred but not required.

This position offers room for growth and is designed for an individual with some industry or consulting experience looking to expand their air quality skillset and learn the consulting business. This full-time position requires an onsite presence at our Denver or Fort Collins, Colorado office and is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing international environmental consulting organization. Required Technical Skills and Experience Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical, Petroleum, Environmental, Mechanical or other relevant technical science-related degree program) Air pollutant emission source calculations using mass balance, emission factors, and/or process simulation (e.g. ProMax , VMGSim, Aspen HYSYS , etc.) Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in technical writing Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software with strong Excel skills Valid driver's license and ability to travel by airplane and car Preferred Technical Skills and Experience Experience/familiarity with indus rial settings and systems Experience conducting field data collection Compliance reporting, including criteria pollutant and greenhouse gas emission inventories Air quality regulatory analysis (state regulations and federal Clean Air Act program standards) Experience with Colorado Air Permitting Project management experience (e.g. setting up projects and executing within scope, schedule, and budget constraints) Supplemental experience in non-air quality environmental programs (SPCC, Stormwater, RMP, etc.) Strong background in fluid dynamic and thermodynamic principles with application in equipment sizing and specification Networking and business development experience not required but a plus Familiarity with SQL databases or coding a plus Personal Attributes and Traits Self-motivated; strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; detail oriented Strong problem solving skills Willing and eager to learn new skills Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Excellent time management skills Proactive in planning ahead and problem solving Ability to interface with clients and internal stakeholders Key Responsibilities Analyze industrial processes and operations to quantify air pollutant emissions Provide air quality permitting and regulatory compliance support to industrial
