Job Title: Controls Specialist (ECM)

Job Summary: ECM Holding Group Inc has opportunities for Controls Specialists. These jobs can be performed remotely from the locations listed and are 100% travel

The Controls Specialist is responsible for installation and start-up of, energy efficient refrigeration controls. Installation and start-up of TEL Lab Control systems and/ or Demand Control Kitchen Exhaust Systems as part of Energy Efficient Retrofits or new construction. Certifies chemical fume hoods and provides follow up fume hood certification reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs or oversees installation of Energy Efficient Refrigeration motors and controls, fume hood and Laboratory Variable Air Volume control systems and ensures they are in accordance with the scope of work and installation documents.

  • Performs or delegates tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects.

  • Performs Certifications of Chemical Fume Hoods, Kitchen Exhaust Hoods and other exhaust devices.

  • Installation of Artik Control equipment for walk-in freezers and coolers.

  • Installation of 2 speed EC motors for evaporators.

  • Coordinates communication with the customer

  • Ensures client satisfaction.

  • Understands project budget and executes work within budget parameters, communicating budget under/ overruns as soon as possible.

  • Ensures proper execution of client training and warranty.

  • Any other requirements as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent.

  • 1 plus years of working with HVAC units and controls

  • Basic understanding of HVAC units

  • Basic understanding of environmental controls

  • Basic knowledge of electricity.

  • Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, Word Documents and Email

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Willingness and Ability to Travel

Physical Demands :

  • Must be able to spend time bending or twisting the body

  • Must be able to spend time climbing ladders, scaffolds, or poles

  • Must be able to Spend time keeping or regaining balance

  • Must be able to spend time kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling

  • Must be able to spend time making repetitive motions

  • Must be able to spend time standing

  • Must be able to spend time using your hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
