Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will assist, lead, and supervise accounts payable in coordination with the Accounts Payable Manager to ensure the timely and accurate payment of vendor and other disbursements in accordance with Virginia Hospital Center policies and procedures. The Accounts Payable Supervisor will assist with maintaining supporting documentation and implementing proper internal controls; supervise staff and monitor workflow, productivity and establish performance metrics for comparison to industry standards.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or in a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Five years of experience in accounts payable in a computerized environment or experience in materials management software applications is required.

Two years of supervisory experience is required.

Certification/Licensure:

None.

Other Qualifications

Experience with Infor Lawson AP and/or Workday is preferred.Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Must be detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to build relationships inside and outside the organization.Proficient in Excel
