Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in North Fort Worth, Texas. This role is essential to managing all accounting functions for our multiple entities and team members. The Controller will be pivotal in driving and optimizing the return on investments and will work closely with the FP& A team to provide quality reports. They will also be responsible for preparing and reporting for multiple entity financial statements and reports, in accordance with GAAP or other reporting standards. Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting functions across multiple entities

• Focus on driving and optimizing the return on investments across the enterprise

• Collaborate with the FP& A team to provide senior leadership with monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

• Prepare financial statements and reports, in accordance with GAAP or other reporting standards

• Handle annual audits by external auditors, including preparation of the financial statements, footnotes, supporting schedules, and other required support

• Partner effectively with other finance team members and non-accounting functions to drive improved controls and process enhancements

• Ensure adherence to internal controls to protect company assets and avoid process failures

• Implement and maintain financial reporting procedures to comply with internal and external reporting deadlines

• Oversee month-end close, reconciliations, account analyses, variance analyses and other duties required to issue monthly financial and management reports

• Support operations with business performance analysis, cost analysis and control and recommendations for improvements

• Develop, mentor and train the accounting team

• Research, develop and provide recommendations for technical accounting issues

• Analyze complex financial information and provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes

• Handle special ad hoc projects for the CEO and CFO

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position

• Proficiency in Fund Accounting and Private Equity Fund

• Expertise in Revenue Recognition Accounting and ASC 606

• Familiarity with Family Office and Technical Accounting

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of US GAAP

• Experience in handling Month End Close procedures

• Proven track record in Financial Reporting

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred

• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Solid understanding of financial software and MS Office

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
